New Adventurer club books !!!

Finally got a set of the new adventurer club workbooks. I really  like the new cover. I love the new design and the fact that they are colorful.  The inside is pretty much the same with just a couple of  changes. What do you guys think of the new workbooks?

Busy Bee Game for " My Self" (feelings)

Kids love board games ! I did some research on line and put a mixture of ideas together and did this emotions board game for the kids to play.
The game consists of acting out different feeling and questions such as "How would that make you  feel? "
We played this game in our last meeting and the kids really enjoyed it.
I also found  some big foam dice at the dollar store and I made the game pieces out of water bottle caps and just added  a different  sticker on top of each cap.

Get organized part 2.

I found this boxes at Michael's and I decided to use them to keep all my club things in. Here you see the box I use to keep all the adventurer class A uniform things. I have one for Little lambs and one for Eager  Beavers as well.
I also use these boxes to keep any extra workbooks and books.

Get organized.

Here is a very simple and easy way to keep track  of  all  your adventurer  club award patches.
Buy some plastic boxes with lots of little compartments to store all the awards.

You can find this boxes at just about any store.

I separated mine by classes. I have one for little lambs one for eager beavers and then one for each adventurer class. I also have a big one to store all the extra awards patches and the class pins.

Little Lambs Community Helpers Star

The little  lambs community  helpers  star is such a fun star to do. A side  from doing all the steps that are required I also bring  community helpers dress up  items for the kids to use. I also use this big community  helper posters and this book from the dollar  section from target.
And for the craft each child makes a doctor bag to take home.

Little lambs - wooly lamb star

Here are some of the things I used to teach the wooly lamb star.
We start the class by reading the Lambs are baby sheep book from adventsource. Then the children get to see and feel real lambs wool they then make a lamb craft to take home and last they get to play a game of looking for lambs.
I bought  this  lambs at the dollar store and laminated  them since the children  will be playing  this game at  the  beginning  of each class.

Eager beaver class idea

Working on the Eager Beaver "Fire Safety" chip this week and I came across a page that suggested to make a flame out of felt to help the children practice their STOP, DROP, and ROLL activity. This is the one I made for our little ones. I think it's a great idea. I am also going to use a white color table cloth to use as "smoke" and have the children practice crawling underneath it to find the door.
